Summer Begins

Today was the last day of the school year. Both Abbey and Mac have been promoted to the next grade. Mac to 1st grade and Abbey to 4th. We are very proud of them. Abbey received several awards this year. She received awards for having 100% homework for the entire year, outstanding achievement in literacy skills, and the Principal's award for citizenship. They both did an excellent job this year and have grown tremendously. I am going to post a picture of them at the beginning of the school year and then one from today so you can see how much they have grown and matured.

Here is a video of Mac and his cousin. It looks like Mac is having a good time, not so sure about Kolbe. No one was seriously injured in the filming of this short ;-)

Field Day

Today was Abbey's Field Day at school. There were eight events in all . Some of the events were relay races, sponge toss race, sack races and frisbee throw. Afterwards there was a big picnic under the trees. It was a beautiful day and great fun was had by all.

After seeing Trent and Liz's blog here on blogspot, we were inspired to create our own. Keep checking for updates on the kids. Here are a few pictures from our trip to Northern Virginia this weekend. The kids had a great time with all their cousins.

Our Star

Here is our little star. She had the part of a weather lady in a play at a friends birthday party. She did a great job and the costume suits.

Mac Is On His Way To First Grade

It is hard to believe that Mac is headed to the first grade. Here is the proof. His class had a small graduation ceremony at the park last week. Here he is feeling very proud of his certificate and medal.
